Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy

Targeted light therapy used as a comfortable complement to care for pain, tissue irritation and healing.

The simple answer

What is it?

Cold laser therapy uses low-level light directed at a painful or injured area. The treatment is non-invasive and is intended to support the body's tissue-healing processes without heat, needles or medication.

What conditions can be treated?

  • Painful or irritated muscles and tendons
  • Joint pain and stiffness
  • Selected sprains and strains
  • Slow-healing soft-tissue injuries
  • Pain that is limiting comfortable movement or exercise

Is it painful?

No. Most people feel little or nothing during treatment. The light does not cut, burn or create the heat associated with surgical lasers.

What to expect

Thoughtful care, explained before it begins.

Your therapist starts with a full evaluation. If this treatment is appropriate, we explain what it is intended to address, how it should feel and how it supports the active work in your plan.

Response is monitored from visit to visit. The treatment is adjusted or discontinued when another approach better serves your goals.

Common questions

Know before your visit.

Is this a stand-alone treatment?

No. PT&SR uses specialized techniques as part of a complete one-on-one plan that may include hands-on care, exercise, education and home guidance.

How do I know whether it is right for me?

Your therapist reviews your health history, symptoms and examination findings. Recommendations are personalized, and you can ask questions or decline any technique.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on your condition, goals and response. We set clear milestones, review progress regularly and explain changes to the plan.
