Why you may be here

Vertigo

Vertigo is the sensation that you or the room is spinning. BPPV is a common inner-ear cause. It often triggers brief, intense symptoms when looking up, lying down or rolling over in bed.

A detailed evaluation helps determine whether symptoms are positional, vestibular or may require further medical assessment. When appropriate, specific repositioning maneuvers can provide fast relief.

What you may be noticing

  • Spinning with rolling in bed
  • Dizziness looking up or bending
  • Nausea with head movement
  • Unsteadiness after a vestibular event
  • Visual blurring or motion sensitivity

How physical therapy may help you

  • Determine positional and vestibular triggers
  • Use repositioning maneuvers when indicated
  • Retrain gaze and balance
  • Provide safe movement and fall-prevention strategies
